In a poignant blend of art and advocacy, Crash Course Theater is thrilled to announce a special staged reading of David Auburn's acclaimed play, "Proof," to benefit Alzheimer's Tennessee. This charitable event promises an unforgettable evening, fulled with this poignant and intellectually charged drama exploring the complexities of family, legacy, and the quest for truth.
Directed by Will Prater, this exclusive staged reading will take place for One Night Only at The Church @ 117 on May31st at 7pm. Fifty percent of all ticket sales and ALL donations will directly benefit Alzheimer's Tennessee, supporting their vital work in research, support services, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease.
"Proof" tells the story of Catherine, a young woman grappling with her father's brilliant yet troubled mind and his legacy. As the narrative unfolds, audiences are drawn into Catherine's world, where family secrets and intellectual inheritance intersect, challenging perceptions of truth, identity, and love.
The staged reading promises to captivate audiences with its thought-provoking narrative and deeply human characters. Through moments of humor, tension, and profound emotion, "Proof" delves into the intricate bonds that tie families together and the profound impact of intellectual legacy
Alzheimer's impacts millions worldwide and Alzheimer's Tennessee is at the forefront of the fight against this disease, providing essential resources, education, and support to those affected by this devastating illness.
