Hi,
I am a South African citizen and my wife is Polish. We have been living and working in South Africa for the past two years but decided it was time to go back to Europe. She received a work contract in Munich and she has just left to go and start her new job.
I do not have any special privileges in Europe and must apply for visas each time I want to go. I need to start the application process for a spousal visa as soon as possible but this is said to take about 3 months. Is there any way that I can be reunited with my wife quicker? I would have loved to apply for a schengen visa to get there and then apply for a spousal visa once I am in Germany but apparently you can only do this from your country of origin.
Does anybody have any advice?
