My daughter arrived in Munster (from Melbourne, Australia) on 26th July 2017. She hasn't yet applied for a visa, but has a place of residence and a bank account. (She received her registration papers-Anmeldebestätigung -two weeks ago). She is being told be a German local that she has 90 days from receiving her Anmeldebestätigung to apply for a visa. My understanding is that she must apply for a visa within 90 days of arriving in Germany. Can you please tell me which is correct?
