Position: GENERAL/BUSINESS TRANSCRIPTIONIST (Code: TS)

Prior experience with general/business/legal transcription projects (or related field) is an advantage.
Extensive knowledge of English grammatical rules is a must.

Applicants must be able to 1) transcribe audio/video recordings, 2) edit & proof transcribed content to adhere to company's varying styles and format, 3) achieve minimum quality scores and weekly production targets. They must be able to submit client-ready transcripts that are error-free within a given deadline.

We give salary plus allowance and incentives, including paid training/assessment period. Office location is in Makati City.

Job Description
Transcribe recordings into a text document that is polished and reader-friendly.

Audio content consists of the following: conferences, medical training seminars, in-depth interviews, focus groups, project meetings, webinars, podcasts, dictations and other general business meetings.

Qualifications
Actual transcription work experience of at least one year.
You must type a minimum 65 words per minute. (A free typing test can be taken at www.typingtest.com).
Have excellent editing & proofreading skills, and an outstanding grasp of grammar and punctuation rules.
Meets the required 98% transcription accuracy.
Above average knowledge and proficiency of MS Word and Excel (including the tools and functions), and must demonstrate strong computer literacy.
Experience with using with FTP, Dropbox, Express Scribe, Google Drive/Docs, Office 360 (OneDrive & OneNote).
Must be able to turnaround/submit a minimum of 60 audio minutes of transcribed content within an 8-hour period. Submit completed jobs on or by the file due date/time.
Work in accordance to established daily & weekly production targets.
Possess responsive and constructive communication, as well as a proactive and positive attitude at all times.
MUST be willing to work with flexible shifts/schedules. (Our business days are from Tuesday to Saturday).

Ability to learn and adhere to varying transcript formatting and transcript standards; ability to follow instructions with minimum supervision; and high attention to detail.

Interested applicants will have to take a time-bounded transcription test. Successful candidates will be required to go through a paid training period for assessment. You are expected to undergo, complete and pass this stage before you are given an offer sheet. Candidates must be willing to begin immediately.

Steps on Hiring
1- Take and pass short transcription test.
2- Submit Contract Documents.
3- Undergo and pass Training & Assessment Period.
4- Offer of employment.

1- Qualified applicants will receive an email within 1 business day for the schedule of your transcription test. Transcription testing will be held at our office in Makati.
(Please note: As our transcription testing is time-bounded, applicants should be present on or before the appointed time)

2- Applicants who pass the test will be emailed with their test results and next action steps. They will need to complete and submit contract documents before attending the training.

3- Upon submission of contract documents, candidates will be given a schedule to attend a one-week training.

4- Candidates who then successfully complete the training period will be given an offer of employment.
