New Ghost Tour in Salem, Oregon

New walking tour explores dark side of Salem.

(SALEM) After launching downtown Salem Haunted History Walking Tours two years ago, Salem Ghost Tours now offers another spooky tour of Salem. "This one", says owner and tour guide Tim King, "really will put the fright into people".

King says the new tour really takes people into part of Salem that is seldom seen. "The grounds around our own city hall facility are creeping with stories about murder and butchery. Native lore clashes with the body dumping grounds of serial killers like Jerry Brudos. Our path will pass through the dark side of Salem history."

The tour will visit the place where so many perished during the horrific Influenza outbreak of 1918. "I will then lead groups to the old hanging grounds along Mill Creek," King says. Long said to be haunted, this seemingly peaceful location in Salem hosted many public hangings during the late 1800's. The tour offers many other shocks and surprises, King says it will last a little less than two hours.
