If you want a value for money, without worrying other expenses: new condo
If you want to be really sure of your purchase, try to study and analyze the market.

I think it will depend on what you really need: do you prefer a place near your place or work, or a bit far from your office to detach yourself from your work? Or do you prefer a house with big space?
Newer condos are built with smaller land area.
