trinidad violence

Hi, I am a french woman 60 , I used to live in beautiful Trinidad in the years 82, 83, enjoyed it, and I feel like visiting again, but I see so many horrors about kidnapping and all, I would be coming alone and just love listening to pan until late at night, how dangerous could that be.
I actually live in Puerto Vallarta , Mexico, and the place is not very safe either because of the drug war, but that is mostly among the cartel people and since I am not one of them, lol, of course some time they mistake you for one of theirs but that is rare.
So I would be glad to hear from the situation in Trinidad
