hello clover

i had a friend na she met a belgian man via the internet, chatted for months and finally the belgian guy came over to cebu in her province and decided to get married. Take note that this filipinas has NEVER been out of her province. Anyhow the belgian guy was married before and has been legally separated.

before the belgian husband flew back to belgium and the filipina has to stay in manila they already applied for the reunification visa by then.

It took them 9 months before they finally got an answer that she is approved.

for others, mas madali ang processing time, maximum of 2 months lang.

I guess it really depends on the status of you and your partner and ofcourse kung kumpleto lahat nang papers or documents that you are passing to the embassy, very important to know.

i hope i gave you a little hint on this matter though i really cannot relate kasi i only based this on filipinas that i know and is already here due to the reunification visa.

goodluck and keep me informed!

x

Hi to my fellow Filipinas here,

I am scheduled to submit my spouse visa application in October but I don't have papers arranged yet.
May I ask if the requirements from your Belgian husband had to legalized in Belgium before he brought it to the Philippines? Is there a standard way on how to organize the papers all in one folder? Will I need to submit photos, convo history, hotels, flights apart from the mentioned requirements on their website? I will be lodging the application together with my husband, I hope everything will go smoothly. May I ask any advise base from your experiences please.
By the way my name is Chai 27 years old Boholana but currently living and working in Makati and my husband is 45 from Mortsel Belgium.

Thanks in advance all your response will be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Chai

Hello there! I know this is for Family Reunification Visa but I just would like to ask for advice and I hope I could get some from ladies here who probably underwent the same situation with mine. I applied for fiancee visa last September this year. My visa reference number appeared in www.infovisa.ibz.be one month after I lodged my visa application. It shows there, "In afwachting ontvangst van documenten die de visumaanvraag ondersteunen en die door de Belgische diplomatieke/consulaire post per diplomatieke valies verzonden wordt."

My fiance is not interviewed yet. It has been two months and a half already. He called up to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels and they only said to just wait. It is not a problem for us to wait but we are more concern of the expiration of our papers. We will probably re-apply again in the city hall if there is no decision until the expiration date. I really do not know how the processing of fiancee visa application goes there.

Does anyone here know where we can follow up for the updates of the visa application? Just for him to be interviewed so that the investigation can move forward then. He also called up to the city hall and they just said that they just wait for the result of the investigation. Where can we follow up for the investigation? To the police? To the procureur? We really do not know. My fiancee lives in the city of Aalst anyway.

I am looking forward for your kind reply regarding this matter. I just want to clear some thoughts on my mind since it is my first time to apply for fiancee visa. Any reply will be highly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!
