i had a friend na she met a belgian man via the internet, chatted for months and finally the belgian guy came over to cebu in her province and decided to get married. Take note that this filipinas has NEVER been out of her province. Anyhow the belgian guy was married before and has been legally separated.

before the belgian husband flew back to belgium and the filipina has to stay in manila they already applied for the reunification visa by then.

It took them 9 months before they finally got an answer that she is approved.

for others, mas madali ang processing time, maximum of 2 months lang.

I guess it really depends on the status of you and your partner and ofcourse kung kumpleto lahat nang papers or documents that you are passing to the embassy, very important to know.

i hope i gave you a little hint on this matter though i really cannot relate kasi i only based this on filipinas that i know and is already here due to the reunification visa.

goodluck and keep me informed!

x

Mine is still pending, after 3 weeks from the moment the application registered at immigration department they contacted my husband and asking some documents on his side, proof of his income last year while he stayed here with me in philippines, proof of sufficient lodging in Belgium, and he also included my and our baby's insurance, some bank statement nya last year na nandito sya then he sent it via email, til now we are hoping na mapadali before december ang approval, but what could we do is wait and wait, so with you Jelyn wish you luck, basta with interview be true.

Thank you for the explanation. I never knew that they have different ways of contacting the applicant for every type of application. Kasi before, the embassy called me too, saying that they already have the result of my application. But when I asked if I can just know whether it was approved or not, they told me that they cannot disclose that info over the phone. So from there, I assumed that they never say the visa result itself over the phone. Oh well, it doesn't really matter now anyway. :)

Again, congratulations to you. If you're flying real soon to BE, don't forget to bring winter clothes with you 'cause it's starting to get really cold here (for them it's just "fresh" or just autumn but for people like us who lived in the tropics, this is already winter!). Have a safe trip. And see you around? ;)

If she apply for spousal visa , yes it's posible that the embassy tell her via phone call that her visa application is approved. I meet someone sa embassy before na she know her visa approval through telephone call from the embassy . They instructed her what to bring ,etc. at the embassy via that call.

I hope i answer your curiousity:)

    Thanks

Hi DV..the lady in embassy told me that they received already the approval of my visa.and that I have to go there on October 19 this 2 pm here.and since i couldn't believe it right away, i tried to check in the website and the status from "Processing" is now "ACCORD".that made me surely felt I am not dreaming;-) i also have checked my e-mail but there is none yet mail from the embassy.anyway we are two applicant who just receive the same news of our visa.so I hope i am not wrong in understanding that two proof is enough.tnx again..God bless...bisoussss

    Hello Clover!

Sorry to butt in to this thread but I couldn't help but notice your good news. ;) Proficiat!

I'm just curious though about what the embassy said to you over the phone. Did they tell you that your visa is approved or did they just ask you to come to the embassy for the result of your visa? What time did they ask you to come, in the morning or in the afternoon? I'm just curious as to how they do it on the phone because in my case, they just sent me an e-mail.

Just curious here. Hehehe! Please let me know.

    Thanks! :)
