Your friend has very good reasons for not sponsoring you:
Sponsorship entails personal liability for everything you do in Germany, incl. financial (in case you run out of money) and legal (in case you do something wrong) and he would have to pay for your deportation if you have to leave the country.
No organisation or person other than a very close friend or family member would ever agree to that!Besides, the visa requirement to have €8700/year is to protect you from destitution - you REALLY need that much (or more) to survive in Germany. If you don't have that money, you should not come!
