    Hi Sebastian,
    to look for apartments to rent, you can look at http://www.wg-gesucht.de. It is pretty good and you can search by city.
    The site is specific for shared apartments but also contains regular apartments (we found ours there). Finding an apartment in the hot spots such as Berlin or Munich is significantly harder than finding one in a smaller town.

    To look for jobs you can look at www.stepstone.de which is pretty popular
    or of course www.monster.de
