• Hello, Jefrey

I am mortified... I JUST NOW, late this evening, visited 'Just Landed' to catch up on things and found this post you made in November!
I now remember where it was I heard you say 'Pico island' before: sometimes I'm in a hurry and just have a minute to 'skim' the headlines of my updates/messages, and apparently I forgot to come back and READ the body of those 'headers'...
I am so, so sorry that you have such a major condition (cancer) to deal with... Jef, I know this disease personally, as well, as lost my beloved mother to it (Pancreatic cancer), 20 years ago now but it still feels like the loss happened yesterday...
My sister is a registered Nurse, and has remarked that if my mother had lived to present day (she'd be 80-ish now) her cancer might've been better treated and even vanquished! So much has improved in cancer research and treatment, just over the past decade, and enormously over the past 20 years!
I hopre you are in good spirits, and that your health improves with every passing day of treatment and positive encouragement of your family and friends. Funny, isn't t... you are moving away from the Azores, back to Cali to be near your family and friends, because of your illness... and *I* am moving TO the Azores, because of my health... It is so bad right now I am told it could add 10 years to my life if I lived there (the milder climate) than the harsh Illinois winters/sweltering summers that are hastening my illness...
I promise, if I'm in the market to buy instead of rent, I will buy YOUR house, no other, when I get there later this year... of course, I'm expecting a big Lotto win will have to happen in my life, first. But it's still a promise. ;-)

    {{{HUGS}}} to you and Eglis
