    To Apple

Hi Apple! To be honest with you, I am no expert in this subject because I have no personal experience in dealing with this type of situation but I thought maybe I can give you some suggestions. :)

Your husband may want to inquire first in their local city hall (het stadhuis). I'm not too sure which department he has to go to exactly but my hunch is of course the marital department (I don't know the exact name but it's the department that arranges marriage in the city hall). If they say they couldn't help him, he might want to contact the Philippine Embassy in Brussels. Here are their contact details:

    297 Avenue Moliere, 1050 Brussels
    E-mail: [...]
    E-mail: [...]

    Trunkline: (+32) 02 340 33 77 to 78
    Fax Number: (+32) 02 345 64 25
    Duty Officer: (+32) 0488 609.177
    Consular matters: (+32) 02 340 33 73
    Consular matters: (+32) 02 340 33 74

I would suggest he gives them a call. Normally, when you get married in Philippines to a Belgian, it should also be recognized here in Belgium. However, it might be possible that it takes about 6 months before it gets registered here.

Again, I would like to emphasize that these information I gave you are not based on facts. These are merely my suggestions. But I really hope it helps you and your husband. :)
