    To Apple

Hmmm...Honestly, I really don't know the procedure of getting your marriage registered here in Belgium. Kasi if it's the other way around (you got married in Belgium instead of in the Philippines), you don't have to arrange anything anymore in Philippines. The Philippine embassy in Brussels will forward your marriage certificate and other information to NSO in Manila and everything's taken care of. You don't have to arrange anything else. I suppose it should be like that too if you got married in Philippines (I mean, vice versa).

I understand your husband's longing for you to be together in Belgium already. I respect your decision but I would strongly suggest for you guys to ask the embassy first to be sure. If you make a wrong move, you are going to lose a lot of time and money. I suggest you ask the embassy (send an e-mail or call the visa section) if it's possible for you to apply for a family reunification visa even though your husband's marital status in Belgium is still Single. By the way, if you call the embassy again, you might want to specifically request to be transferred to the visa section. But don't expect that they're gonna be friendly. They never are. :(

I wish nothing but the success of your plans, Apple. I hope you don't mind my giving you suggestions. Please discuss this very good with your man. Again, if you make a wrong decision (most especially a wrong first step), you might lose a lot of time and money. And instead of things going faster, it might be the opposite.

Good luck and keep us posted. :)
